Janet P. (Fisher) Ottendorf

Duanesburg- Janet P. Ottendorf, 64, passed away at Ellis Hospital on Saturday June 17, 2017 surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born in Schenectady on June 26, 1952 daughter of the late David and Theresa (O’Leary) Fisher. She attended Draper High School in Rotterdam, NY until 1969 when the family moved to Williamstown, MA where she was a 1970 graduate of Mt. Greylock Regional High School.
Janet was employed by the State of New York in the Corporations Division, and then for Wausau Insurance Companies. For many years Janet was self- employed as a computer consultant in the local area. Janet was also a contributing editor for the Harley Rendezvous paper and the composer designer of the Rendezvous web site. She also worked for a time for the Town of Duanesburg on the Zoning Board.

Janet is survived by her beloved husband Terry - they were married on March 29, 1974, her brother Fred (Jane) Fisher of West Palm Beach, FL her brother Dennis (Lisa) Fisher of Brooklyn, NY, her sister Nancy (Dennis) Underwood of Clarksburg, MA, her sister Susan (Paul) Luczynski of Spofford, NH, her best friend Linda (Ed) Staroba of Rotterdam, her brother-in-law Kurt Ottendorf of Albany, NY, her sister-in-law Donna (Steven) Roschke of Cincinnati, OH, her beloved cat Lucky and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, David Fisher of Washington, MA and a sister, Ann Marie Fisher of Rotterdam, NY.
Family and friends are invited to call at the White VanBuren Funeral Home 1779 Main Street, Delanson on Saturday June 24, 2017 from 4 pm to 8 pm.  Interment will be private.
