Gail C (Sitzer) Dykeman

Delanson_ Gail C. Dykeman, 73, of Salsburg Road passed away peacefully at home on September 14, 2017 surrounded by her beloved family.

Gail was born on December 6, 1943. A daughter of the late Edward and Carole Belden Sizter.

She was married to her beloved husband, David A. Dykeman for 49 years.

She retired from Northeast Parent and Child Society as an Intake Case Aide in 2006 and then again as a secretary in 2011. She had also previous worked for Albany DMV and spent 10 years at Schenectady Chemicals.

Gail was an avid reader. She created Crafting for Kids for NE, enjoyed camping with friends and family, spending time at The Adirondack Balloon Festival, and collecting snowmen.

She is lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother,  grandmother amd friend.

Gail is survived by her husband David, her children; Tim (Petra) Dykeman (Germany), Tammy  Nunez (Delanson) and Rebecca Dykeman (Schenectady) along with two special granddaughters, Tara Nunez and Sophie Dykeman. One brother, Alan Sitzer, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by her sister, Ginny (Harry) Garofallou.

Family and friends are invited to call at the White VanBuren Funeral Home 1779 Main Street Delanson NY on September 21, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Immediately following funeral services will begin at 8pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Friday September 22, 2017 at 11 am at Grove Cemetery  Quaker Street NY. Memorial donations may be made in Gail's Memory to Community Hospice of Schenectady  and/or  Night Out For You .org, 15th Street,Watervliet NY 12189.
