I am so sorry to get this news, Cappy was one of the first people I met after moving here. He helped me find my car keys (in my pocket) on my first trip to the Elementary school, We shared hearing loss and we both understood how crazy that is! I am just down the street from his house, I live in the old berry farm house! Sincere condolences to your whole family. He was a wonderful man.

My wife and I both had the luxury of working at Duanesburg with Cappy. Two things, I will always remember about him are his handshake (he had to be in his 70's at the time) which felt like he could crush my hand at any time and the way he made everyone he came in contact with feel special. Cappy was a real icon. Although I only met him two times, I often saw the man through his children and from hearing "Cappy" stories and anecdotes. It is so clear how very much Cappy was loved and revered in his family. What a great life he had and legacy he has left us. Please accept our deepest condolences on the loss of Cappy.

So very sorry to hear of Cappy's passing ....My dad, David Dykeman would tell us many great stories about Cappy and his time in the military and how he trapped animals, all the skins I saw when my dad and I went to get some venison ground up by Cappy....He was a great guy and Heaven is very lucky to have him...he will make them laugh....Sending prayers to his family ...May he Rest In Peace
