Welcome to the memorial page for

Judith A. Crommie

May 17, 1954 ~ December 20, 2017 (age 63) 63 Years Old

Judith Crommie of Esperance, NY passed away on December 20th at the age of 63.  Judy was the daughter of Robert and Catherine Crommie of Delanson, NY.
Judy graduated from Duanesburg Central High School.  In 1973, she entered the Air Force where she served as an ICU and Term Nurse.  Upon discharge from the Air Force she was a nurse for the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home.
For the last 40 years, Judy has raised and bred Labrador retrievers as the owner and operator of Shamrock Valley Kennels. Her big heart and unwavering passion for animals was evident in the sweet temperaments of her dogs, which were often in high demand. We know that all her babies who traveled over the rainbow bridge before her were there to greet her with big kisses and tail wags.
Judy had a passion for family.  For many years, she was the primary care giver for her parents as their health declined.  She dedicated many years to their care, offering companionship and her nursing skills.   She was tireless in her dedication to them. Judy was also the family historian, who enjoyed researching her family lineage and celebrating her Irish heritage.
Judy enjoyed sailing, painting, antiquing and the beauty of classic cars.   Favorite pass times were to go to antique shows and car shows with her Dad.  One of her future goals was to restore her sailboat and sail on Otsego Lake.
Judy is survived by her son, Kenneth Cravotta, her father Robert Crommie, of Delanson, NY, a sister, Linda Crommie of Central Bridge, NY, a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Norm Russell of Wellford, SC, nephews Jamie Lawyer, Adam Crommie, Jason Russell, Brian Russell and niece, Amanda Wagner. She was predeceased by her mother, Catherine Crommie in October of 2008.
Receiving hours will be Thursday, December 28th at the White VanBuren Funeral Home  1779  Main Street  Delanson, NY from 6 to 8 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Howes Cave Animal Shelter.
