Town of Florida – Laura E. Hutton, 99, of Millers Corners Road (Youngs Corners) passed away Wednesday November 21, 2018. Laura was born and lived in the Hutton family farmhouse her entire life until moving to River Ridge Living Center in Amsterdam in April 2015.
She was the daughter of the late Earl W. and Lena Quick Hutton. Laura was a graduate of Wilber H. Lynch High School. She was employed as a secretary at the Sam Gold Glove Company in Amsterdam, then the Premier Glove Company of Fultonville and then as a teller at Banker’s Trust Company in Amsterdam retiring in 1984.
She was a former member of the Minaville Reformed Church. Laura loved her home in the country and she loved animals.
Laura was predeceased by her sister Beatrice Van Buren in 2005. She is survived by her nephew Leonard M. Van Buren and his wife Patricia of Quaker Street, her grandniece Kathleen Van Buren of Pompano Beach, FL, her grandnephew Cale L. Van Buren and his wife Courtenay of Ballston Lake and great-great nephews Colton John Van Buren and Keene Leonard Van Buren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24th at 11 am at the White-Van Buren Funeral Home 1779 Main Street, Delanson. A calling hour from 10-11 am will precede the funeral. She will be buried in the spring with her parents in the Esperance Cemetery.
