Louis Dolezsar Jr., 93,  passed away on April 9, 2017 in Raleigh, N.C.
Louis Dolezsar Jr. was born in Perth Amboy, NJ on March 2, 1924 to Louis Dolezsar and Mary Sanyigo Dolezsar.  At a young age, the family moved to Delanson, NY where Louis was an excellent student and graduated from Delanson High School as Valedictorian for the Class of 1943.  Louis was also an excellent athlete achieving Letters in baseball and soccer. After high school, Louis entered the U.S. Army where he graduated from Cadet training.  He was attached to the 370th Bombardment Squadron 307 Bombardment Group 13th Air Force in the Pacific Theater and received an Honorable Discharge as a First Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps.  
On October 18, 1947 Louis Dolezsar Jr married Shirley Flansburg Dolezsar in Schenectady NY.  Louis is pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Shirley who passed away in Spring Hill Florida in 2008.
Following the military, Louis Dolezsar Jr graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1951 with a Bachelor Degree of Management Engineering.  He then earned his Master’s degree from Columbia University in 1963.
His job as an Industrial Engineer took him on several different paths of employment during his career. His last employment was for 25 years with the IBM Corporation from which he retired. After his retirement, Louis Dolezsar Jr and his late wife Shirley Flansburg Dolezsar moved to Spring Hill Florida where they resided for 20 years.  In September 2011, Louis Dolezsar Jr moved to Raleigh, N.C. to live with his daughter, Joan Dolezsar Lockett and son-in-law Dennis Michael Lockett.
Louis Dolezsar Jr is survived by his daughter Joan Dolezsar Lockett and her husband Dennis Michael Lockett of Raleigh, NC; his son, Brian Louis Dolezsar and his wife Yelena Kurdyukova Dolezsar of Mansfield, MA and his son David Ronald Dolezsar of Vancouver, Washington.  Louis Dolezsar Jr loved his  grandchildren Tracy Anne Lockett and her wife Wendy Seaton-Lockett of Garner, NC; Wendy Elizabeth Cooper and her husband Michael Wayne Cooper of Raleigh, N.C.; John Louis Dolezsar of Belchertown, MA and Bridget Mary Dolezsar Seifert and her husband Matthew Miller Seifert of Verona,  NJ; Louis is survived by his great grandchildren, Pvt. Matthew J Brown of U.S. Army, Dillon Thomas Cooper, Noah Alexander Cooper and Grace Elizabeth Cooper of Raleigh, N.C., Sophia Etoile Seifert and Theodore Thomas Seifert of Verona, N.J.; Louis is also survived by his brother, Joseph Dolezsar and his wife Anna Szarvas Dolezsar of Schenectady, NY, and his sister-in-law Julia Marie Putnam Dolezsar of Delanson, NY. Louis was loved by his many nieces and nephews and close friends.
Louis Dolezsar Jr is pre-deceased by his father Louis Dolezsar; his mother Mary Sanyigo Dolezsar;  his sister Veronica Dolezsar Canastra,  brother John Dolezsar and sister Mary Dolezsar Boyd.
Family and friends are invited to call at the White VanBuren Funeral Home 1779 Main Street Delanson NY  on Tuesday April 18, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm.  Funeral  services  will begin on  Wednesday April 19 2017 at 10:15 am at the funeral home . Immediately following a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church Alexander Road Delanson. Interment will be private.
