Marjorie "Midge" J. (Durfee) Peterson

Knox - Marjorie "Midge" J. Peterson passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018. She was 88.

Born in Niskayuna, NY, Midge was the daughter of the late Hiram and Anna Durfee.

Midge was a dedicated and caring farm wife. She worked for the Farm Museum at the Altamont Fair for many years and was a member of the Department 56 Club.

In her spare time, Midge enjoyed crafts and shopping as well as stock car racing. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family.

Midge was predeceased by her husband, Carl O. Peterson whom she married on March 8th, 1951.

She leaves behind her loving children; Marcia (Jeff) Proper, Mark Peterson, Keith (Karen) Peterson, and Tammy Peterson, her devoted grandchildren; Rebecca (Edward) Schweigard, Joshua (Karie) Burtt, Annie Burtt (Frank Santo), Eric Peterson, Justin (Maribel) Peterson, Keith (Patricia) Peterson, Neil (Chrissy) Peterson, Jacob (Ericka) Peterson, and Virginia Soulia, and her sister, Doris Drumm. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Duanesburg Reformed Presbyterian Church, 6512 Western Turnpike (Route 20) Duanesburg, NY 12056 from 1pm-3pm with a service to follow at 3pm. Burial will take place at Grove Cemetery at a later date.
