Phyllis J. Van Voorhis

Duanesburg- Phyllis J. Van Voorhis, 85 passed away on Wednesday December 20, 2017 at the Albany Medical Center  after a short illness.
Phyllis was born in Schenevus NY the daughter of the late John and Leta Palmer and was the devoted wife of the late Edgar Van Voorhis to whom she was married to for 29 years..
Phyllis resided in Duanesburg for 55 years and worked for  Central National Bank of Duanesburg for over 30 years. She was a member of the Duanesburg Historical Society , The Quaker Street Knitting group , the Duanesburg Seniors and the Senior Meal Site.
Phyllis was a long time member of the Duanesburg Presbyterian Reformed Church, she served on the “ women in the church” and foreign missions committees. She was also active in the women’s bible studies through the years..

She is survived by her sister Janice ( Bill) Ellis of Oneonta, her children John (Patricia) Van Voorhis of North Bennington Vt. David (Jill) Van Voorhis of Houston Tx and Carol (Gary) Lundberg of Cherry Valley Illinois.
Phyllis is also survived by seven grandchildren six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Duanesburg Presbyterian Reformed Church on Wednesday December 27 2017 from 12 pm to 3 pm. Funeral services will begin at 3:30 pm at the church. Interment will be in the spring at Maple Grove Cemetery Worcester NY
