Suzanne (Smith) LeClair

Duanesburg- Suzanne LeClair,  67, of Duanesburg passed away suddenly on January 1, 2018. Beloved Wife ,Mother ,Grandmother ,Daughter ,Sister and Friend.

 She was born on November 30, 1950 in Schenectady, a daughter of Stephen E. Smith and Doris Brown Smith. Suzanne was predeceased by her Dad Stephen, in 2009.

Suzanne greatly enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, especially tiger lilys and lilacs , just to name a few, arts and crafts  and solving cross word puzzles , reading and  loved going for walks . She was great at writing poems ,swimming in her pool and  doing aerobics. She was a go getter,  "Always on the Go" always on top of her game.  She was slightly stubborn and  was determined to keep us in line,  never giving up. She was strong willed and a fighter .  Suzanne was an  avid dog lover, she loved all her dogs, Shadow, Cypress and Ebony . She was a loving,  devoted wife to her husband Bob, a loving mother to their three sons;  Cory, Curtis and Casey. And Suzanne will be lovingly remembered as "Grandma" to 5 grandchildren Jordan, Stefan, Tobias, Justin and Sophia. whom she cherished.

She also loved her excursions to Dutchess County to see her partner in crime  Aunt Helen and crew.  And her excursions to Nevada to visit her Aunt Fay and Uncle Ray Wagus. She loved so many and was raised by the best Steve and Doris Smith.

Suzanne  graduated from Schalmont in 1968 and in 1970 graduated from SUNY Cobleskill with a degree in Secretarial Science.

Suzanne began her secretarial career with SUNY  then became the secretary for Duanesburg Elementary School,  a job she truly loved, retiring in 2001.

Suzanne is survived by her beloved  husband Robert "Bob" LeClair of 47 years , their sons; Cory (Haidee)  LeClair of Lancaster Mass, Curtis (Angeline) LeClair of Rotterdam, and Casey LeClair of Delanson and her 5 grandchildren Jordan, Stefan , Justin, Tobias and Sophia.

Suzanne also leaves behind her beloved  Mother;  Doris Brown Smith of Rotterdam, her siblings whom she dearly loved  Tim (Vicky) Smith of Anchorage Alaska, Dan (Kathy) Smith of Princetown and Judith Knight of Rotterdam and several nieces and nephews.  And her friends Carol and Christine , The Brown Family ,The Dykeman Family and all her huge extended family and friends to numerous to mention.

Family and Friends  are invited to call at the White VanBuren Funeral Home  1779 Main Street Delanson NY on Sunday January 7, 2018 from 10 am to 1 pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 pm at the funeral home .Interment will be private. Donations may be made in Suzanne’s memory to the Duanesburg Volunteer Fire Co. Po Box 115 Duanesburg NY 12056 and/or the Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corp. Po Box 130 Duanesburg NY 12056
