Allen Westfall Obituary

Delanson- On August 20, 2021, Allen Westfall passed away at Kingsway Nursing Home with his family by his side. Allen was 96 years of age. He was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Westfall. He worked for 40 plus years at Schenectady General Electric Co. where he won several awards to improve plant operations, and was a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club. Allen served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of WWII.

He enjoyed, with his wife, growing several large gardens, hunting, fishing, bowling, NY Yankee baseball, and NY Giants football. For many years he was president of the Duanesburg Little League when it was located in the Village of Delanson. After passing the bat to a new president, the Village of Delanson Little League Field was named after him for his many years of service.

He now joins in eternal life with his parents and wife Nancy who passed away on August 20, 2019. He will be missed by his son, Gary (Margaret Barcelo), granddaughters; Alicia (Chris) Madej, and Danielle Audette, great-granddaughters; Harper Madej, Hadley Madej, Veronica Audette, and Ariana Audette.

Due to Covid-19 services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Allen’s name to Shriners Hospital for Children-Springfield, 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104.
