Barbara A. (Fells) Pitt

Lone Tree, CO - Barbara A. Pitt, formerly of Duanesburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in her home in Lone Tree, Colorado. She was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on February 3, 1940, to the late William P. Sr. and Edith (Burr) Fells.

Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Duanesburg Florida Baptist Church where she served for many years as the bookkeeper and a member of the Social Committee.

Barbara was married to Robert W. Pitt. He predeceased her on January 8, 1988.

She is survived by two sisters, Shirley Dillenbeck and Dorothy LoGiudice, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Also three sons, Robert W. Pitt Jr., Fort Plain NY, Edward A. Pitt, Georgia, William R. Pitt Scotia NY, three daughters, Barbara J. Pitt of Schoharie NY, Priscilla E. Pitt Rotterdam NY, Marilyn Shoemake and husband Darryl of Lone Tree Colorado. Sixteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, 4 nieces, 6 nephews and 2 sister-in-laws.

She was predeceased by her sister Mildred Scott, brothers Charles Fells and William Fells, daughter Patricia Copolla and grandson Thomas Jones. 

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at Duanesburg Florida Baptist Church. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30am-10am at Duanesburg Florida Baptist Church, 7967 NY-30, Duanesburg with a funeral service to begin at 10am. Interment will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
