Carol Theresa Caban

Duanesburg- Carol Theresa Caban passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 11, 2021.

She was born on October 3, 1948 to the late Carl E. Gottstein and Alberta Conley Gottstein. She was the beloved wife of Wayne B. Caban, who recently passed away in April. She was the sister of Carl R. Gottstein Sr., John F. Gottstein, and Joseph G. Gottstein.

Carol leaves behind her loving daughter, Danielle Maloney and her husband Thomas G. Maloney III. She also leaves her two beloved grandchildren; Ryan Thomas Maloney and Kaitlyn Danielle Maloney.

Upon her retirement from the State of New York, Carol enjoyed working at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Delanson, NY. She also served for many years as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She was actively involved with her church and enjoyed spending time with the many friends she made there.  Most of all Carol loved being a grandmother and was thankful for the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren.

Calling ours will be held on Wednesday June 16 from 9am-11am at the White-Van Buren Funeral Home, 1779 Main Street Delanson, NY 12053. A prayer service will immediately follow at 11am. Christian burial will take place at St. Joseph’s cemetery in Schenectady.
