Kathryn M. (Pitcher) Hillmann

Delanson - Kathryn M. Hillmann, 87, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 with her loving children by her side.

Born in Albany, NY she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Anna Pitcher.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Kathryn was first and foremost a homemaker, always busy in the kitchen or sewing.  She used these skills to teach children as a 4-H leader and Superintendent of the Arts & Crafts Building at the Altamont Fair.  After retiring from the Duanesburg School District she organized bus trips for the Duanesburg Senior Citizens.

In addition to her parents, Kathryn was also predeceased by her husband of 54 years William Hillmann, and her sisters Anna Proper and Claire Christiana.

Kathryn is survived by three children Dawn Turner, William (Linda) Hillmann and Kaylyn (Steve) Thomas; 5 grandchildren; 12 Great-grandchildren; nieces; a nephew; and sisters-in-law.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 5216 Western Turnpike, Guilderland on Wednesday, December 19, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Immediately following at 6:30 p.m. a service will be held at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.
