Duanesburg- Mihaly Borcsok, 84, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 26, 2022. He was born in Hungary and immigrated to the United States at the age of 19 where he has settled in the Albany, NY area since 1957.
Mihaly was a laborer for the City of Albany, where he worked for over 40 years, and was a member of the Local Union 190 during that time. He retired honorably from the Union and moved out to Duanesburg. He enjoyed listening to Hungarian music, riding around in his Jaguar, and talking about politics with his friends and family. He had a natural talent with construction and took part in his family’s business, Borcsok Inc. He enjoyed the time he spent with his two beloved Akitas; Cody and Benny.
Survivors include his wife, Zina Borcsok, his son Michael Borcsok, his granddaughter Michele Borcsok, his great-grandson Julian Borcsok-Metz, many nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, his son Johnny, and his 4 brothers; Steven, Charlie, Joseph, and Louie.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 1pm at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY.
